平成22年度 第1回技術部会会合の開催について

David Bernstein is coming to GICTF as Vice-Chair of the IEEE CCSSG (Cloud Computing Standards Study Group). He will provide a briefing of the IEEE CCSSG project to the GICTF. The first project of the IEEE CCSSG is to create liaison and coordination of various international Cloud Computing standards bodies, to coordinate publishing an official IEEE "Profile" for Cloud Computing. This will be a reference-able standard which will be sufficient for US Gov't standards such as NIST as well as coordination with other international bodies such as ITU-T. The second project of the IEEE CCSSG is the development of an Intercloud PAR, or standard-proper. Much research has been published proposing specific software elements and protocols in the industry on this subject in IEEE conferences and other scientific venues. These techniques for Intercloud will be reviewed. GICTF will be solicited to participate and support the Intercloud PAR development activities based on these general technical directions. The third project of the IEEE GICTF is the development of a Global Intercloud test bed. Tentative agreements to participate have been secured with the NSF funded Autonomic Computing facility, which involves datacenters at four universities in the US; the Intel Cloud datacenter in the US, the ARPA NLANR high speed network in the US, and the University of Melbourne CLOUDS lab in Australia, and invitations have been issued to two labs of major Carriers in Europe. This project will be detailed, and, IEEE CCSSG would like to invite GICTF to participate to represent Asia area.
