Activity plan for fiscal 2010



The Global Inter-Cloud Technology Forum will undertake the following activities in fiscal 2010 (July 2010 - June 2011).
  1. Collect and share information with organizations and conferences related to cloud computing. [Tech Task Force]
    • Conduct survey of technical trends and present the survey results.
    • Provide members with technical information.

  2. Study on the reference architecture and interfaces for inter-cloud computing. [Tech Task Force]

  3. Based on the white paper"Use Cases and Functional Requirements for Inter-Cloud Computing"PDF, we plan to
    • Discuss the reference architecture for inter-cloud computing.
    • Develop a standard set of specifications for the interface between cloud systems.

  4. Discuss proposals for additions to the current standardized specifications based on the technical needs identified. [Tech Task Force]
    • Discuss the need for additional proposals for each technical category.
    • Member organizations share the efforts to make proposals to relevant standards bodies.

  5. Promote widespread use of cloud interworking technology. [App Task Force]
    • Hold seminars and plan relevant events with other organizations.
    • Issue publications and brochures.

  6. Identify technical needs related to secure cloud interworking. [Tech/App Task Force]
    • Survey members about needs.
    • Hold symposia.
